Apple Cider  
Nomadic Pies  will be serving hot apple cider from the truck this Friday. Stop by to place your Thanksgiving pie orders before it is too late! Apple, Cranberry Apple Crumb, Pecan, Sweet Potato with Pecan Streusel, and Pumpkin!  Make sure to ask her about preordering vacuum sealed, frozen, unbaked savory pies so you can stock up your freezer and satisfy those pie cravings on a whim!
Taste Artisanal brings

a unique take on a Cranberry Conserve made with a local Cabernet Franc wine plus a dried fruit and nut topper great on Brie or goat cheese, using homemade caramel and honey from Guinea Hen Gardens.


Take Me Bake Me Pizza will stay fresh in your frig for up to 4-5 days and can be frozen up to 2 weeks. A great option for the night before Thanksgiving!   This week look for Plain, Margarita, Veggie Pesto, Butternut Rabe, and a surprise Dessert Pizza.  Yummy! Pre-order at the Take Me Bake Me website.

Meadowset Farm will their pastured ground lamb and lamb chops as well as two pecorino (sheep) cheeses. The Last Straw is a sharp, aged Romano-style that’s perfect for grating on salad or pasta.  Camel’s Back is a nutty Basque-style that’s perfect for snacking and fruit & cheese platters.

Down To Earth Harvest has continues to harvest avariety of fresh Fall produce, including lots of beets and carrots.




Designs by Francine features tasty peanut and pecan brittles this week, as well as previewing their holiday collection and bringing back some old favorites.



applesRex Farms will have three new varieties of apples – Cameo, Goldrush, and York Imperial (a great baking apple), plus Fuji, Rome, Gold Delicious, and the last of the Stayman and Idared. Also new this week will be Fuji Applesauce, with or without cinnamon and no sugar added. Their sweet apple cider is perfect for Thanksgiving meals. Also try –their apple & pumpkin butters.

2 medium beets

2 large carrots

2 tsp olive oil

1/2 tsp rosemary leaves

1/2 tsp thyme leaf

1/2 tsp rubbed sage leaf

1/4 tsp salt and fresh ground pepper to taste


Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Scrub the carrots and beets and trim the tops and bottoms.  Slice the carrots diagonally in 1/2 inch slicies; slice each beet in 6 wedges.


Place vegetables in a bowl and sprinkle with oil and herbs,

stirring  to coat. Arrange on a large shallow glass or enamel roasting pan in a single layer.  Cover with a lid, or foil, and bake for 25 minutes.  Remove lid, increase heat to 450 degrees, bake another 20 – 30 min., until tender.  Check the veggies after 10 minutes, turn with fork or tongs if needed for even roasting
