Things are heating up at the Kennett Square Farmers Market this week, literally!    We have an exciting new vendor, M&B Farview Farm, who will be bringing their all-natural meats and poultry, plus they         will be grilling right on the street!  They offer an extensive menu from pastured meats to goat cheese, yogurt, raw milk and even ice cream.  You may pre-order items on their website for pick-up or just browse on the day of market! What’s Fresh this week:

  • More Sweet Corn from London Vale Farm
  • Peaches, cherries, plums, blueberries, apricots and pluots from Frecon Farm
  • New tea selections from Guinea Hen Farm
  • Zucchini breads from Papa’s Pastry
  • A pea spread from La Cucina Verde
  • Four types of Brittle by Francine. She will put the chocolates on hold until cooler weather prevails!  She also will have cold tea.
  • Ridge Valley Farm returns with their maple syrup and Chansonette will again have their exotic orchids.
  • The Produce Place is making their custom line of smoothies & will have frozen lemonade, too.

We are so appreciative of our Market sponsors. Read about Otto’s BMW below – they are a great community supporter!  See you at Market!

Kennett Square is hosting the finals of the inaugural Chesco Grand Prix during on Friday, July 6. Town residents and visitors will have the  opportunity to see a high-quality series of cycling criteriums.   The first race begins at 5:00 p.m. with the featured professional race taking place at 7:15 p.m.  There will also be a local “celebrity” race, kids’ races, and other family-friendly activities throughout the event. The Farmers Market will still be held on July 6th, with the additional First Friday craft vendors.  Parking will still be accessible in the municipa  garage, although traffic on the main streets in Kennett will be         detoured that afternoon and evening.  We are sorry for the inconvenience to our market customers, but we hope you might come and enjoy the Chesco Grand Prix.  For more information:  chescograndprix.com
