It seemed like a dream come true; all of our summer market vendors were there in finest form, only this time around toting greenery, persimmons, brussel sprouts, poinsettias, and enough fresh produce to sate the fiercest small vegephile army. White twinkle lights strewn the walls, hats and scarves in lieu of t-shirts and shorts, and new faces to boot! The slightly “off the grid” nature of the location (downstairs level of Cafe Lindo/Holly Peters rugs, entrance off Apple Alley) made the “find” all the more thrilling; eager folks entered trepidatiously, clutching their flyer… “Am I in the right place?” With coupons for the first 40 shoppers, the marketplace filled right up, and soon enough a pleasant glow filled the previously vacant space. Kari’s Pureblend Tea bar was perfectly positioned, right in the center, alongside Kate and Gabi’s charming string of aprons and bags, to encourage shoppers to sip tea and peruse the goods. Lisa, with her massage table was nestled right into the corner (she’ll be back next month with a canopy for more privacy), and Daniel from Shadygrove Greenhouses beautified the space with his flashes of red, green and white, in plant form, not to mention his giant-sized bird feeders!

Mark your calendars, for the next market, in preparation for winter repast and merriment: Friday, December 17th. Amazing Acres goat cheese will be back with us, and Samuel from Countryside Farm and Bakery will be bringing gift baskets replete with their homemade ketchup and whoopie pies. Lots more to come~ stay tuned… In the meantime, cheers to winter!
