Are you feeling a little blue now that Kennett Square Farmers Market  season has come to an end?  Well we have the perfect remedy. We happily announce a new series of winter markets AND the third annual community potluck (and blues jam).

That’s right, the third Friday of every month will be host to a winter market.  The market will be located indoors at 109 S. Broad Street (Holly Peter’s Oriental Rugs & Home and Cafe Lindo) and will run from 2-4PM with many of the same vendors you have enjoyed all summer.  The first winter market will take place on Friday, November 19th.  Keep checking back for more information about all the vendors that will be participating.

To celebrate this new Farmers Market enterprise, and all the wonderful community that is cultivated by the projects of Historic Kennett Square–the Kennett Flash will be hosting the 2nd annual Community Potluck and Blues Jam on Monday, November 15th from 6-11PM.  You can read more about last year’s celebration and our first community potluck back in 2008 at Inverbrook Farm in past blog postings.

A potluck dinner will begin at 6PM followed by the regular Monday night Blues Jam at 8PM.  So make a dish and/or grab your instrument and get ready to sample the AMAZING culinary and musical talent that lies within our community.

Admissions to the Potluck Blues Jam:

  • $3 if you bring either a dish to share and/or an instrument with the intent to join the blues jam
  • $3 for Children 14 and under
  • $6 if you plan on just eating and watching (no dish or instrument)

For this event only, there will be NO byob fee, so feel free to bring drinks.
