Hopefully the sunny days have been treating all of our friendly followers – it’s been a long, cold winter! Everyone can use the warmth and the strength, and we’ve been busy little worker bees in preparation of the much welcomed farmers market season!

We were recently able to gather our farmers market vendors to discuss the new and the exciting – and believe me, there are plenty of things to delight us all! It was lovely to round-table with some of our favorite folks, a little reminder of that happy feeling the market gives us all during its season. All of last season’s vendors will be returning this year, and we will be joined by a few new faces! We are happy to welcome Frecon Farms and their fruits & veggies; Kari, who will be offering us loose herbal teas and Jess, who is planning on holding cooking demonstrations! We’re also excited about the possible (cross your fingers!) offering of healthy and delicious raw milk; Guinea Hen Farms will be bringing pesto-to-go, and Big Sky Bread Company will be accepting credit cards!

We’ll leave you with an image from our Spring Equinox gathering at Paul Morgan’s homestead in Chester Springs – the warm weather brought a small group together to enjoy an evening of food-sharing and foot-stomping, winding our way through the dark woods behind our favorite market band, Hoots and Hellmouth. Many thanks to Paul for putting together such a lovely evening, and two very enthusiastic thumbs up to the guys of Hoots for a magical ride.
