Our primary goal at the KSQ Farmers Market is to create an environment where consumers have a direct connection to Chester County’s producers. Every week, market-goers get to meet and greet with the folks on the farm – you can get recipes and suggestions straight from the horse’s mouth! Whenever we see a smiling customer with arms loaded full of goodies, we know we’re helping create something bigger for the community.

We also love when we see larger parts of the community take part in shopping at the market! Just imagine our excitement when we saw Bryan Sikora and Aimee Olexy (originally of Django, currently of Talula’s Table and working on a new restaurant in KSQ) filling their market bags! When we chatted with them, we found out that they were updating their current tasting menu at Talula’s to include a new dessert – Farm Market Blueberry Stew with a Lemon Honey Cake & Frozen Lavender Custard – yum! The blueberries are from one of our greatest assets at the market – Roots, featured previously for their fantastic herbs and cut flowers. This week Michelle brought in the most amazing, plump and ripe blueberries ever – and we’re glad that our local farm-to-table go-to spot appreciates them just as much as us regular market-folk!
