Yarrow

Today we are welcoming Michelle Elston from Roots to the Kennett Square Farmers Market! She will be featuring yarrow, larkspur, and feverfew. Are you at a loss with what to do with these darling roots? Check out some of these ideas for putting  your market goods to use!

Are you going camping this summer? Whenever I pack up and hit the trail, I inevitably come home with scratches and scrapes that I pick up along the prickly paths. If that sounds familiar, plan ahead and pack a bit of yarrow – it’s been used for ages to stem the flow of blood – the leaves encourage clotting! Feverfew is also known for its medicinal purposes – it’s been known to help irritated skin and keep migraines at bay.
