With your summer market quickly approaching, I am interested in becoming a vendor at your market. My husband and I relocated to Limerick, PA at the beginning of September. I currently own and operate a cupcake business, ICED by Betsy. We offer gourmet cupcakes, made from scratch using high-quality, local, and some organic ingredients. Who can I contact for information about the application process? I look forward to the possibility of becoming a vendor at the Skippack Farmer’s Market. Thank so much for your time and effort.

Hi Betsy – we are located in Kennett Square Pa, and are the Kennett Square Farmers Market! Are you looking for Skippack or interested in visiting us in KSQ? Let us know!

I am interested in joining your market for the First Fridays this summer. I am an architect and last year I had a booth at the Newark Natural Foods Farmers Market (http://www.newarknaturalfoods.com/farmers-market/visiting-vendors/visiting-vendors) answering architectural questions. The concept of the booth is modeled on Lucy’s Pyschiatry booth in Peanuts.
I have a strong interest in sustainable design and green building which I feel make me a good fit with farmers markets, which are about supporting and encouraging responsible use of resources. I’m also trying to get people to see architects as accessible problem solvers. I was inspired towards this unlikely path by an architect in Seattle who set up in the Seattle farmers market.
I would appreciate any information you can provide me about becoming a vendor.
Thanks,
Will

Hi Will! Thanks for the interest in the KSQ Farmers Market! Your concept sounds really interesting, and I will be sure to run it by the farmers market committee and get back to you as soon as possible! Last month’s Grid Magazine (a sustainable magazine based in Philadelphia) had a great article on sustainable architecture. We’ll be sure to reply soon!
Kindly,
Sarah, Market Manager

Dear Sarah,
I too am interested in becoming a vendor at the Farmers Market. I use fine writing techniques and write on grains of rice! From there, I fashion accessories (bookmarks, pet collars, wine glass charms, etc.)and jewelry incorporating your rice while you wait. I am a visiting artisan at the Newark Food co-op market and am looking to “branch out”. Please contact me as your convenience. Thank so much. Jane
